Three Charged in Unidentified Man’s Death

March 3, 2010 - MOUNT OLIVE - As a followup to a story we brought you last week, the Mount Olive Police Department has made three arrests in the case of an unidentified Latino Male found severely wounded Monday, February 22nd. The victim died later from his injuries. Twenty-one year-old Demario Montrell Leach, 26 year-old Demontae Antwan Leach, and 20 year-old Michael Brandon Faison have all been charged with murder and are being held WITHOUT bond in the Wayne County Jail. All three suspects are residents of Mount Olive. Chief Schroeder wishes to thank the Wallace Police Department and the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance during the investigation. Additionally, the Mount Olive Police Department is requesting assistance from the public in identifying the victim. The victim is a Latino Male, approximately 5’4” in height and weighing 108 lbs. He has a scar on the left side of his face running from his left eyebrow down around his left eye approximately two inches. He has a thin black mustache and a goatee. His hair is black and approximately three to four inches in length. The Latino Male is known to travel on foot in the Center Street and Cleveland Drive areas of Mount Olive, and he may go by the name “Arturo”.
